Home renovation can unlock beautiful new possibilities. Here’s how we make the magic.
Over the last two decades, we’ve picked up a few things—including an extraordinary best-in-class team of industry specialists.
From contractors to artisans to vendors—everyone you need is either already on the team or one call away.
Personalizing, layering, and finding a cohesive flow that draws your home together (and just feels so inviting)—it’s why we do what we do.
Our specialty started with highly complex kitchen projects and—by client-ordered popular demand—expanded through every room.
A unified concept, custom storage, and the best in uncommon, where-did-you-get-that furnishings—it’s all about function, flow, and nailing your signature style.
The creative part is always exciting, but you know what’s just as thrilling? Knowing you have a team that can execute every concept with tenacious precision.
We know how to deliver the most value, how to keep you in the loop with easy-to-use cloud-based project management software, and—most essentially—how to oversee the actual dirty work without disrupting your life.
We’re happy to start your interior design journey with us in whatever way works best for you, but if there’s one thing that is essential to our design and renovation process it is this—we must get to know you.
Typically, our process begins with a phone consultation where we start discussing your needs, wants, and the scope of the project. Tell us your hopes and dreams for your space! We’ll talk through your overall goals, project timelines, and investment considerations.
After we have a plan in place, we’ll come from one of our locations—Glen Ellyn, Chicago, or Naples—to take field measurements, see how you use the current space, and review the existing conditions. This might include inspecting the mechanicals and verifying any other important project parameters, but we will keep you updated regarding every aspect of the process.
You’ll also be given access to a portal where everything is tracked—daily.
Now, let’s get to the fun part! We kick off the design phase with preliminary drawings and mood boards to hone in on your functional and aesthetic goals. Think of it as your dream Pinterest board, come to life—but with personalized elements that could only come from you.
After finalizing all the details and making sure our plans are enthusiastically approved, we will assemble a team of trusted subcontractors to work on your project. We will walk them through the job site with plans and a written scope of work, and coordinate all of the details needed to complete building your new space.
We are the go-between—so you don’t have to worry about working with anyone but our team. If we’re doing any structural or exterior work, we will also collaborate with an architect to ensure that proper drawings are included for permitting and that the outside of your home looks as great as the inside.
Your project costs are finalized and your contract is approved. Excellent! We can check those off the list.
Next, we will get to work on some of the most detailed, essential elements of the project: obtaining any necessary permits, placing vendor orders, proofreading order acknowledgments, and tracking…well, everything.
Every last piece will be taken into account. We’ll be the ones to accept shipment of your furnishings and materials at our warehouse—all to be held for delivery to your job site during your project installation. You won’t have boxes and other materials taking up space in your home before you need them.
We’ll keep you in the loop regarding your permit status, as materials start to arrive, and more via our online project management system.
In the end, here’s what matters: We will handle all of the nuts and bolts of your project, leaving you to watch the progress and enjoy seeing your new space come together.
Your interior design project runs in layers—and once we’ve established a schedule, your project manager will be in touch to set up a project kickoff meeting for remodeling or to set up an installation date for furnishings.
We will review the project schedule and discuss essential project housekeeping items such as where the dumpster will be located, and which areas of your home will need to be screened off with plastic. Dust is often a concern when remodeling but we specialize in keeping it to a minimum.
Our job is to prepare you and keep you informed of everything that’s to come. Our remodeling team will take every step necessary to make sure your family stays comfortable at home while the renovation takes place with our clean remodeling process. Your home may be under construction, but your life is not.
The process for our major remodeling project was thorough, our budget was maintained, and the construction phase was much less stressful than we anticipated.
From our very first meeting discussing ideas to the last day of final touches, everyone was helpful, professional, and top-notch. The quality of work was excellent.
